I Listened To…
▷ A Court of Thorns and Roses part 1 & 2 by Sarah J. Maas ★★★★☆
It had been a quite while since I last listened to an audiobook and after
reading listening to ACOTAR I realized why: I just hadn’t found the right book(s)! I had ACOTAR on my Storytel bookshelf for a while and out of sheer desperation for a new book to lose myself in, I just put it on. And I’m glad I did, because ACOTAR is one of those series that will be one of my favorites for the rest of my life. The last two series that ignited the fangirl in me that much were Harry Potter and The Hunger Games, so you can imagine how great it was to lose myself in another series like that again!
Speaking of audiobooks: I sometimes catch myself saying that I’m reading a book, in stead of listening to it (my boyfriend likes to correct me on that one!). I also saw an interesting poll about it on Goodreads. But for me, reading a book and listening to the audiobook are the same thing! Because whether I am reading or listening to a book, I enjoy it just as much. A big bonus for me is that I sometimes have a problem with winding down when I know there’s dishes waiting for me in the kitchen or when there’s laundry to be done -adulting sucks sometimes!-. And now I can enjoy a book while doing those tedious things 🙂 I’ve said this (MANY times) before, but audiobooks are such an enrichment to my life! I can definitely recommend Storytel if you’re looking for an audiobook provider other than Audible.
▷ Blade Runner 2049 ★★★★☆
▷ John Wick 1 & 2 ★★★★☆
▷ Colossal ★★☆☆☆
▷ Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets ★★★☆☆
▷ The Shape of Water ★★★★☆
▷ Man Hunt: Unabomber ★★★★☆
▷ The Darkness (2007, PS3) ★★★★☆
▷ Fable (remastered version 2014, PC) ★★★★☆
As we were a little short on exciting story-driven games to play, me and my bf decided to try some of our old favorites! I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about playing a game from 2007, but it’s actually still pretty playable! Very cool story as well! My bf had the same skepticism when it came to Fable (which is originally from 2004), but thanks to the remaster it’s still very enjoyable!
▷ rescued food at Instock Den Haag
▷ Poké bowl at Ohana Poké & More (and a few times at home, because they deliver!)
▷ Blue Stilton for the first time ever and ermahgerd is was so good! It might actually be my new favorite blue cheese. It might seem a bit random to mention this, but learning more about cheese is actually one of my goals for this year 😉
▷ I made my first travel vlog ever about my trip to Milan! I used Adobe Premiere Pro for editing and I’m actually pretty proud of how it turned out 🙂 Especially considering it was the first time for me editing a video #goalsmashing.
What I have planned for February
▷ a trip to Berlin – I’ve heard so many people say they love Berlin and a friend of mine actually moved there last year. So time to finally see what all the fuss is about! I’m so excited!
How was your January? And do you have any exciting plans for the upcoming month?
