Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a great weekend c: Ours was pretty quiet and uneventful, as the bf has been working and I took advantage of that time to work on some of my own projects.
During weekends like this, we often order takeout or eat something that is really easy to prepare (like over pizza or pre-made salade) on Sundays, but since we ordered takeout on Saturday, we thought we should cook something instead. Trying to be a little healthy, ya know! ;p
A while back, the BF and I were browsing the YouTubes for some Dishonoured 2 videos and accidentally came across this one by Johnny from Eurogamer, where he cooks a fish dumpling recipe that he found in game. It was really entertaining to see him cook this pretty weird recipe (by now we’ve seen all the Chiodini’s Kitchen videos, brilliant stuff!) and it made me excited to try out a videogame recipe myself!
Brownies. Made from black beans…? It sounded so weird to me… so naturally I became super intrigued and I just had to make them! I got the recipe from Martina from Eat Your Kimchi when I was re-watching some old videos. Martina and her husband Simon make really fun vlogs and blogs about their lives in Japan (before that about their lives in Korea, hence the name). I’ve been a subscriber to them for a pretty long while now and I still get excited when they update new videos c: Take a look at their channel Simon and Martina, maybe you’ll like their videos too!
The recipe is gluten free and vegan apart from the honey. Besides that, the black beans and oats are also packed with vitamins, minerals, protein and fiber. This recipe almost sounds a little bit too good to be true, but I promise that these brownies exceeded all expectations and then some!
